Brigadier Khalid Mehmood, retd was commissioned in 1982 in a self-propelled medium regiment artillery. The officer is a graduate of Command and Staff College Quetta and did techinal staff course from Shrivenham, UK. He is also War Course qualified from NDU Islamabad. He has commanded a medium self-propelled artillery regiment, an armoured divisional artillery and a corps artillery. He holds a MPhil degree in peace & conflict studies from NDU. Has experience of director human resource at NLC.

Imran Hassan Khan Niazi, TI(M) (retd)

Colonel Imran Niazi was commissioned as a second-generation officer in a mechanised infantry battalion of the Frontier Force Regiment in 1987. He is a graduate of Command and Staff College, Quetta and a recipient of Tamgha-i-Imtiaz (Military). He has diverse experience in various appointments including homeland security and counter terrorism. The officer is an ardent student of history and being a second-generation officer, is strongly inclined towards military history. The officer has a master’s degree in history from the University of Punjab and has also compiled 150 years battalion history in 1999. He is authoring a book on the history of Rawalpindi Cantonment.

Sohail Nasir Khan, SI(M) (retd)

Brigadier Sohail was commissioned in Azad Kashmir Regiment in 1988. He is a graduate of Command and Staff College, Quetta and National Defence University (NDU), Islamabad. Besides junior operational employments at brigade / divisional levels and a UN assignment, he has remained operations officer of a deployed infantry brigade. His senior operational appointments include stints in a deployed infantry division on the LOC, an infantry division in Operation AL-MIZAN and Counter Terrorism Wing.
He commanded his parent unit on the LOC, an infantry brigade in Operation AL-MIZAN, a de-radicalization institute, Azad Kashmir Regimental Centre and a multinational force under UN mandate at Darfur, Sudan.
 
He holds an MPhil degree in peace and conflict studies from NDU, Islamabad, besides four master’s degrees in English with linguistics, business administration, defence management and education management. He is a chartered fellow of Institute of Logistics and Transport, UK. He also has five professional certifications of 24 weeks in HRM besides a dozen certifications in a wide variety of subjects including social psychology, cultural anthropology, international law, international relations, philosophy, learning techniques, mass communication, mass media, basic nutrition and counter terrorism.

Brigadier Fouad is a retired Frontier Force officer who served on various command, staff and instructional appointments during his military career, including platoon commander and adjutant at Pakistan Military Academy, instructor in School of Infantry & Tactics, brigade major of an infantry brigade and Defence Attaché of Pakistan to Jordan. He commanded an infantry battalion, a paramilitary corps, and an infantry brigade. The officer is a graduate of Command and Staff College, Quetta and The Royal Jordanian Command and Staff College, Amman.

Brigadier Nasir was commissioned in the Armoured Corps in September 1987. The officer is a graduate of Command and Staff College, Quetta and Air War College, Karachi. His staff appointments include operations officer in an armoured brigade and in a mechanised division. The officer has been on the faculty of School of Armour & Mechanised Warfare Nowshera twice. He has commanded his parent regiment and an independent armoured brigade group at Malir Cantonment. He holds master’s degrees in political science, international relations, defence & strategic studies and business administration. He also holds MPhil degree in international relations and is currently pursuing his PhD in management sciences.

Brigadier Uzair was commissioned in Anti-Aircraft Artillery in September 1983. The officer is a graduate of Command and Staff College, Quetta and National Defence University (NDU), Islamabad. His staff appointments include operations officer in an air defence brigade, staff officer and director (internal security). He has been on the faculty of Pakistan Military Academy Kakul besides being Commandant Anti-Narcotics Force Academy Islamabad.
He has commanded his parent regiment and an air defence brigade at Malir Cantonment. He holds a master’s degree in War Studies from Quaid-i-Azam University Islamabad, fellowship in counter terrorism with distinction from National Defence University, Washington DC and holds a certification from the British Computer Society UK, with a certificate of proficiency in system analysis and design methodology.

He has commanded a Mujahid battalion on the Line of Control, a heavy self-propelled artillery regiment and an armoured divisional artillery. He holds an MPhil degree in international relations from National Defence University, Islamabad and is also qualified in overseas joint warfare from Australian Defence Warfare Training Centre.

He also remained on the faculty of School of Infantry and Tactics, served as operations staff officer in a brigade, staff officer in Military Operations Directorate and in a strategic formation.
