Faculty and students of NIPS ex QAU, visited AIMH on 17 January 2023. During the interactive session with AIMH research faculty, students openly expressed their thoughts/ misconceptions on 1971 war, which were adequately addressed by the faculty.

Dr. Moeed Yousaf

Moeed Yusuf is a political scientist. He is currently Associate Vice President of Asia programs at the U.S. Institute of Peace in Washington, D.C. He focuses on Pakistan/South Asian foreign policy issues, regional peace and conflict dynamics in South Asia, and on U.S. relations with South Asian states. He has previously been a Fellow at the Harvard Kennedy School and at the Pardee Center at Boston University (BU). He has also taught at BU and Quaid-e-Azam University, Pakistan. He serves on a number of governing/advisory boards and task forces and his commentary appears regularly in the Pakistani and U.S. press and media.

Dr. Mariam Chughtai

Dr. Mariam Chughtai is founding Associate Dean and Assistant Professor at the LUMS School of Education, Pakistan. She is also the Director of Pakistan Programs for the Harvard University Lakshmi Mittal South Asia Institute. Previously, Dr. Chughtai taught several courses at the Harvard Graduate School of Education, along with Negotiations at Harvard Law School and Leadership at Harvard Kennedy School. She has a Doctorate in Education (Ed.D.) from Harvard University specializing in Education Policy, Leadership and Instructional Practice. She has two Masters degrees from Harvard University, in International Education Policy and Education Policy and Management, and a Bachelors in Political Science from Rice University. Dr. Chughtai is based in Pakistan and working on her forthcoming book on the politics of making and breaking identity through education in Pakistan.
