Hilli Hall

This hall commemorates the Battle of Hilli, East Pakistan 1971, where 4 Frontier Force Regiment (part of 205 Brigade) held up nearly a division-size Indian force for 19 days. Only when held to the front, and outflanked to the rear, did the unit vacate on orders, in an orderly manner, to new positions in the rear. Major Muhammad Akram, shaheed, a proud son of this regiment, won his Nishan e Haider at this battle.

Hilli Hall is a custom-built exhibition hall, where collections of paintings, pictures and other artefacts can be displayed, either independently, or as part of a seminar or lecture in the adjoining Pandu or Chawinda Halls. The hall has an available floor space of 1400 square feet, with required lighting and stands.

Hilli Hall houses a modest book kiosk, with related books, magazines and souvenirs for sale. The hall also has a discussion corner for breakout session after an event in Pandu or Chawinda Halls.
